KU Leuven | The Scientific Committee of the 14th International Trends in Brewing invites researchers around the world to submit abstracts for presentation at their 2020 Meeting taking place from 5 to 8 April 2020 in Leuven, Belgium.

International beer specialties | Conveying the scope of individual craft-brewed beers to a broad audience always has been the main goal of Private Brauereien Bayern e. V., a German association of small and medium brewers. That is how the European Beer Star competition came to life. At its premiere in 2004, 271 beers were submitted. Two years ago, the 2000 mark was exceeded for the first time and in 2018, 2344 beers from 50 countries took part. One of the most successful international participants is the Boston Beer Company, Boston, USA (Samuel Adams), with a total of 44 medals. BRAUWELT International talked with Jennifer Glanville, Director of Brewing Operations for Boston Beer, about the company’s history, philosophy and participation in the competition.
