Belgium | The 16th Trends in Brewing symposium will take place from 6–9 April 2025 in the historic city of Leuven, Belgium, for an immersive experience focused on the latest innovations and research in the malting and brewing industry. Belgium | From 6–9 April 2025, the 16th Trends in Brewing will take place in Leuven, Belgium. The event, organized by KU Leuven in collaboration with leading companies in the malting and brewing industry, brings together professionals, academics and enthusiasts from all over the world.

China | The China Brew China Beverage 2024 (CBB), an international exhibition for brewing and beverage production technology and equipment, will be held from 28–31 October 2024 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The CBB 2024 International Forum offers a comprehensive communication platform for professionals within the beverage and liquid food industry, encompassing sectors such as beer, beverages, dairy, and more. This platform facilitates the exchange of technology, innovation trends, experiences, and cultural insights.

This year, the 14th VLB Ibero-American Symposium on Brewing & Filling Technology will be held from September 2 to 4. After a successful symposium held last year in Bogotá, where 185 people from 21 countries participated, the respected Ibero-American Symposium returns to Mexico for the third time, this time with its capital, Mexico City, as its host city.

Munich | In line with the motto "Is your Beer a Star? Prove it!", the European Beer Star is once again inviting breweries to take part this year. Registration for this year's edition of the renowned beer competition closes on 24 July 2024.

Lahnstein | International Gruitday on February 1st was created to celebrate gruit beer, a beer with herbs instead or in addition to hops, according to medieval traditions and recipes. In former times, hops were not available for brewers in most regions. So they had to use herbs like gale, porse, rosemary, caraway or laurel to provide taste and shelflife to their beers.

Germany | Since the European Beer Star was inaugurated, promoting diversity in beer has been at the heart of the competition. With its style categories, the European Beer Star was conceived as a vehicle for familiarizing consumers with the beer styles of the world and conveying a beer culture that is lived in the various regions of Europe, the countries of origin of the respective beers. But what characterises the individual beer styles, and what do experts from the countries of origin have to say about them?
