Community meeting | The 8th Craft Beer China Conference & Exhibition (CBCE 2023) will be held at Hall E7, Shanghai New International Expo Center on May 30-June 1, 2023. It has gotten back to the pre-epidemic magnitude - nearly 300 industry-leading companies will attend the CBCE 2023 that spans 13,000 sq m.

The call for abstracts for the EBC Symposium will be open for another 5 weeks, closing on Sunday, 19 May in the late evening.

Packaging trends | Exhibitors and visitors from all over the world will be coming together at the interpack from 4 to 10 May 2023 to present their premières, and celebrate the long-awaited reunion of the global packaging industry. The focus is on packaging materials, packaging machines and related process technology for the food, beverage, confectionery, bakery, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, non-food and industrial goods sectors.

Renowned competition | For 20 years now, the European Beer Star has been on the quest to find the best beers in the world. The registration phase for the renowned competition starts on 3 April 2023. The tasting will take place in Nuremberg for the first time.

European Brewery Convention | The call for abstracts for the EBC Symposium, which will take place from 8–10 October 2023 at the Stiegl Brewery in Salzburg, Austria, has been open since mid-February 2023.

“Brewing in a challenging world” | The final program of the 15^th Trends In Brewing is now available on the website trendsinbrewing/program and registration is open under trendsinbrewing/registration. This year’s symposium focuses on “Brewing in a challenging world”, and takes place in Ghent, Belgium, from 2–6 April 2023.

Korean Beer Exhibition l The Korea International Beer Expo (Kibex) 2023 will be held for three days, from 6–8 April 2023, at the COEX Hall C, Seoul, Korea. Kibex is the only beer-specialized exhibition in Korea where attendees can see and experience all the businesses of the beer industry value chain, from beer production to distribution, packaging, and consumption, in one place. It is co-hosted by GMEG, an exhibition and convention company specializing in the beer and spirits industry, and is sponsored by Fermentis, BrauKon.

Promising outlook | The 11th edition of the Brazilian Beer Competition will take place from 6–8 March 2023 in Blumenau, state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. 4,085 samples (12 % more than last time) have been entered by 565 breweries from 25 Brazilian states – the largest participation in the history of the event. The Brazilian Beer Competition is organized by the Blumenauense Association of Tourism, Events and Culture (ABLUTEC).

Simultaneously brewed | The BestBrewChallenge is an international brewing competition where brewers from all around the world will brew simultaneously, with similar grain bills, in different countries. The competition beer is to be brewed between 20th and 23rd April 2023. The period will thus be extended from one to four days as opposed to previous years. The final day will be German Beer Day on the 23rd of April 2023. The closing date for shipping competition beers is 5 July 2023.
