15th VLB Ibero-American Symposium Brewing & Filling Technology to take place in November

Brazil | The 15th VLB Ibero-American Symposium Brewing & Filling Technology will be held at the Bourbon Convention Hotel in Ponta Grossa, Brazil, from 10–12 November 10 2025. Since 2008, VLB Berlin has been organizing this technical conference with a special focus on the Ibero-American beer sector.

The conference will be bilingual, in English and Portuguese. On November 13, two additional workshops will be offered: a sensory workshop and a packaging workshop.

In six sessions, the following topics will be presented and discussed:

• Session 1: Latin American beer markets and consumer preferences and trends;
• Session 2: Raw materials: Barley, malt, adjuncts and hops;
• Session 3: Brewhouse, fermentation & filtration: Current issues;
• Session 4: Brewing process: Innovations and improvements in the brewing process:
• Session 5: Non-alcoholic beer in Brazil;
• Session 6: Filling and packaging of beer and beverages.

The accompanying programme includes technical visits to the new Agrária malting plant in Ponta Grossa (Campos Gerais Malt House) on Monday, 10 November, as well as to either Ambev or Heineken (to be confirmed) on Wednesday, 12 November. On Tuesday, 11 November, Ziemann Holvrieka invites you to a Welcome Evening at Villagio Verde Eventos.
