EBC Congress 2026: location and dates announced

Save the date | The Brewers of Europe and their scientific, technical arm, the European Brewery Convention, recently announced that the 40th edition of the EBC Congress will take place in Rotterdam in the Netherlands from 6–9 September 2026.

Having begun in 1947, nearly eighty years ago, the 2026 edition switches to the post-summer period and will feature a streamlined programme, with fewer parallel sessions and a more focused selection of lectures, ensuring a high-quality experience for all attendees.

The Congress will focus on the following key themes: brewing technology and innovation; raw materials including hops, barley, malt, adjuncts and auxiliary aids; sustainability in theory and practice; digitalization and AI in production and quality; and analysis and measurement science.

Rotterdam, known for its modern architecture, dynamic beer culture, and excellent connectivity by road, rail, and air, offers an ideal setting for the brewing science community to come together.

A website set up specifically for this purpose has been launched as the central information portal. It features details for potential sponsors and exhibitors and will host the Call for Abstracts from end October 2025 to end January 2026. From March 2026, registration and hotel booking options will also become available from there. Visitors are encouraged to sign up for the newsletter to stay informed.
