Symrise is significantly expanding its Flavor & Nutrition business in Russia and the CIS region with the setup of a fully integrated production site near Moscow. The new Symrise plant, which will be established on an existing site designed by the Russian Aromaros-M Group, will initially focus on supplying dry blends to customers in the region. Production is expected to start in the second half of 2010.

Alfa Laval, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of specialized process equipment, is building a global Brewery Business and Competence Centre at the company’s Soborg office near Copenhagen, Denmark. The existing brewery group already residing in Soborg, Scandi Brew® will be expanded with more brewery specialists and the centre will then have the expertise to cover the complete brewing process. To stay on this positive path and to take account of the huge number of different bottles and label types (wet glue labels as well as self-adhesive aluminium labels) the company direction decided to invest in a new labelling machine, the “Labetta Duo 8/6/35 1320” of the Bavarian specialist Gernep GmbH in Barbing.
