Italian craft beer awards

Craft beer buffs consider it the Oscar awards ceremony of the Italian brewery movement. “Beer of the year”, the contest now at its twelfth edition, will be the barometer that shows the sector’s ferment, highlighting emerging realities, professionalism, passion and innovations.

The awards ceremony of the contest will be held on Saturday 18th February 2017 at Beer Attraction in Rimini,Italy, the great international event dedicated to brewery specialities, craft beers, technology and raw materials.

With the format of the show, which will be updated in 2017, introducing two sections, Food Attraction, dedicated to specialty food for the new food service format and BB Tech Expo – Beer & Beverage Technologies, the awards will also raise the level of competition and participation.

This can be seen by the figures: the beer style categories change completely and increase from 26 to 29, the jury on the other hand will feature a panel of international 72 judges – 12 more than 2016 – including journalists, publicans, beer sommeliers and scholars invited to the tasting tables on 16th and 17th February, strictly behind closed doors.
