Facing the future

As the brewing industry becomes more and more concentrated, forming ever larger and more streamlined units before you can even say “boo”, specialist suppliers like Germany’s Esau & Hueber feel they are left with only two options: going forward or back. Either branching out into new areas of expertise through acquisitions or barricading themselves into their niche. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out which way companies with strategic nous and practical business acumen are likely to go.
