Cold glue prewarmed

When the adhesive containers are changed at cold-glue labellers, consumption usually shows an initial rise, since the adhesive is not yet at optimum processing temperature. With the Glue Dispenser from KIC Krones, Neutraubling, Germany, this effect is history: the adhesive is warmed up to processing temperature in the pipes, and then transferred to the container provided. This leads to significantly reduced adhesive consumption when changing the containers at the machine, and thanks to optimised temperature control to a consistent adhesive quality. Within about three minutes, the prewarmed adhesive is ready, enabling the machine’s operator to bring optimum-temperature containers to the labeller. Thanks to appropriate automation, handling is very simple.

The adhesive is supplied from a 1000-litre container, which is installed on the Glue Dispenser. This reduces both the residual quantities in the container and also the number of units requiring disposal. To ensure that the container is emptied completely, it can be tilted using a hand-crank. In addition, its central positioning reduces the amount of intra-plant logistics needed.
