The new beer recovery plant at Bavaria, Lieshout
05 May 2008

Successful Expansion of the Beer recovery Plant at Bavaria NV, Lieshout NL

2000 Bavaria successfully installed a fully automatic beer recovery system from Filtrox AG. The system was equipped with a maximum filtration surface of 109 m2. Over the years the system was extended to this maximum possible filtration surface. Due to the steadily growing output of the brewery they wanted to extend the system again with an additional 96m2 filtration surface.

The brewery had the choice between an additional set of identical modules like the existing ones with the conventional design and the new DUAL-FLOWTM design. The new design allows to put a substantially bigger filtration surface in one module, in addition to that the amount of piping can be dramatically reduced.

After a thorough evaluation Bavaria decided for the innovative solution with the DUAL-FLOWTM modules. The system with a total filtration surface of 205 m2 is in operation since mid 2007 to the entire satisfaction of the brewery. The quantitative as well as the qualitative goals were reached without any restrictions. The brewery now is equipped with a modern, state of the art beer recovery system with DUAL-FLOWTM modules, which allows a simple further expansion.
