Boulder, Colo. | On 2 April, the Brewers Association (BA) – the not-for-profit trade association dedicated to small and independent American craft brewers – announced the recipients of this year’s Industry Awards. Since 1987, the association has recognized individuals who have positively contributed to the craft beer community. The 2024 award recipients will be honored for their dedication and service during a special ceremony on 23 April 2024, at the Craft Brewers (CBC) in Las Vegas.

Manchester | 67 different brewers and cidermakers from 21 countries have received accolades at one of the world’s most historic international beer and cider competitions, The International Brewing & Cider Awards (IBCA) 2024, which has taken place from 19–21 March 2024 – for the first time ever – in Manchester.

Austria | Though yeast and fermentation are highly important topics for the brewing sector, it took more than 20 years until a Symposium of the European Brewing Convention (EBC) was again dedicated to these issues. After 1978 in Zoeterwoulde, Netherlands, and 1999 in Nutfield, GB, the EBC Symposium “Fermentations as an opportunity for sustainably brewed and high-quality products“ took place at Stiegl Brewery in Salzburg from 8 to 10 October 2023.

VLB Berlin | The 13th Ibero-American VLB Symposium VLB took place from 4 to 6 September 2023 in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. With 185 participants from 21 nations, this event once again consolidated its status as one of the most important communication and knowledge platforms for technical for technical executives in the brewing industry in Latin America.

Denver | The Brewers Association (BA) unveiled the best beers of 2023 during an awards ceremony at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF). GABF is the nation’s largest professional beer competition, with its medals globally acknowledged as an emblem of brewing excellence and among the most sought-after accolades within the brewing community. This year, there were 303 medals awarded to 263 breweries.
