Traditional beer drinkers regarded this with some scepticism, though this concept seems to appeal to young people. It became a fashion that is still successful and is even becoming more widespread. The possible product damage caused by UV radiation is a problem that has to be resolved. This article is limited to some practical aspects of using hydrogenated extracts, especially to rho- and tetrahydroiso-alpha acids that are used in the vast majority of cases [1].
