End‐of‐Line Packaging Experts invest in BMS Maschinenfabrik

EOL | Pursuing its Buy & Build strategy, EOL Packaging Experts GmbH, Kirchlengern, Germany has made a second add‐on acquisition by investing in BMS Maschinenfabrik GmbH in Pfatter, Germany.

EOL, composed of A+F Automation + Fördertechnik GmbH in Kirchlengern, Germany and Standard‐Knapp (S-K), Inc. in Portland, USA, has thus gained an important partner in German‐speaking countries. This step will further strengthen the group’s positioning in Europe and boost its growth sustainably. This investment fits perfectly into the EOL group’s strategic planning and aim to be a market leader in end‐of‐line packaging solutions for the food and beverages industry. BMS will in future complement the group as a provider of systems for innovative sorting installations, state of the art end‐of‐line solutions, and flexible repacking solutions.

Within EOL’s global sales and service structure, A+F, S‐K, and BMS will equally benefit and complement each other in the market area and the product portfolio as well as in production and machine technology, digitization, service, and project management.

Strong partner

“Part of my responsibility towards my family, my employees, our customers, suppliers, and partners is to think early on about the company’s succession. I take this responsibility very seriously. For this reason, we launched a search for partners as part of a structured process. With EOL, we now have a strong partner by our side who will afford us stability, independence, growth, and further development, internationally as well,” says Thomas Lehmann, co‐owner of EOL and Managing Director of BMS.

Sebastian Jost, Managing Director of BMS, adds, “Here, EOL’s motto Follow Your Customers dovetails perfectly with our vision to develop customized solutions that offer real added value, stay on top of today’s developments, and win out with our project management philosophy. I see new and attractive work and prospects for our employees arising as part of a globally active group.” CEO of EOL Kai Büntemeyer says, “Our customers of the group will benefit from the complementary product offerings. The integration of BMS into EOL will generate major advantages and synergies. It ties in perfectly with our group strategy.”
