Gas permeability of bottle closures

When filling carbonated beverages in glass bottles, the main focus is on carbon dioxide in terms of gas permeability of bottle closures. For oxygen-sensitive beverages such as beer or ACE drinks, oxygen permeability is the governing factor. Emphasis has thus to be placed on these two gases when looking at permeation through bottle closures.
