Brazil as part of Latin American growth strategy

The plastic packaging supplier has launched a stand-alone business in Brazil as part of its growth strategy for the Latin American region. The company is targeting the rapidly growing craft brewing sector in Brazil and large regional brewers with its one-way PET kegs.

Brazil is the third largest beer market in the world behind China and the US and, despite the economic crisis, craft beer sales are growing by 40 percent a year. The plastic packaging supplier brings its expertise of supporting the growth of brewers around the world to Brazil.

Petainer will officially launch its presence in Brazil at this year’s Brasil Brau which is taking place at Sao Paulo Expo, from 26 to 28 July and will be sharing the stand with KHS, its official distribution partner in the region – stand no: E 08. The company will be showcasing one-way 20 and 30 Litre petainerKeg, which is increasingly being used as a more economical and efficient alternative to traditional steel kegs and glass bottles by brewers around the world. It is used only once and is fully recyclable, cutting out costly return logistics and washing processes. In addition to significant cost of ownership and sustainability benefits, it provides enhanced product protection, making sure that the beer is as good as the day it was brewed for over nine months.
