Changeover in board of directors

In a meeting on 19 January 2010, the supervisory board at WEENER Plastik AG, Weener, appointed Johann Meinders as the new chairman of the board of directors. Mr. Meinders succeeds Johann Schröder, who will take over chairmanship of the supervisory board with immediate effect.

Walter Steiner, the previous chairman of the supervisory board, is retiring from the board on grounds of age. He is succeeded by Johann Schröder, who was been working for the company for almost 25 years. Mr. Schröder was in management for 11 years and has been chairman of the board of directors for the PLC since it was founded in 2005.

Previously, Johann Meinders was Chief Financial Officer with the manufacturer of plastic packaging.

Incumbent Chief Technical Officer Gerhold Flockenhagen, who has been with WEENER Plastik since 1990, will continue to serve in this capacity. Ralf Sonnenberg will join the board as Chairman of Sales. Mr. Sonnenberg has been working for the company since 1984 and has managed the sales department for eleven years.
