Stone’s brewery in Richmond becomes Sapporo’s US hub

USA | End of an era. Again. Stone is being sold to a global brewing conglomerate for the second time in four years. The Stone brand will live on – its beer will continue to be brewed by Firestone Walker, a Californian brewery that is part-owned by Belgium’s Duvel. But Stone’s physical presence in Richmond, Virginia, is gone after the closure of its taproom on 14 May.
