Election chairman and vice chairman
EBC Analysis Committee
In its meeting held on 6 May 2007, the EBC Analysis Committee elected new officers as follows:
Chairman: Ann P. Mundy
(Coors Brewers Ltd., United Kingdom)
Vice chairman: Ansa Toivola
(Oy Sinebrychoff AB, Finland)
Both are elected for a period of four years and they succeed Claes-Göran Johansson and Xavier Castañé Sitjas, respectively.
Ann Mundy is the Quality Assurance and Standards Manager for Coors Brewers Ltd. Based
at the company’s headquarters in Burton on Trent Ann is a member of the corporate Technical Governance team responsible for setting and ensuring the implementation of quality standards for all aspects of production from raw materials to brewery gate, which includes standards for analytical and microbiological sampling and analysis activities within Coors Brewers.
Qualifications and experience
BSc (Honours) in Biochemistry and a PhD in carotenoid biochemistry - both awarded by the University of Liverpool. 26 years experience within the brewing industry, in various roles within quality management. Fellow of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling. Member of the EBC Analysis Committee since 2001.
Ansa Toivola MSc in Biochemistry, Food Science at Turku University, Finland.
Laboratory manager at Sinebrychoff Pori brewery since 1985.
Member of the EBC Analysis Committee since 1998.
In the Analysis Committee she is a member of the Wort&Beer and Packaging Sub-committees.
