drink technology India 08
Following its successful premiere last year, drinktec is again organising a congress in India. This year the title is ‘drink technology India 08’. The aim is to bring beverages and liquid food producers from India and neighbouring states together with suppliers from all over the world and of course from India. The congress with accompanying exhibition takes place on 27 and 28 November 2008 in the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai.
The event is being organised by the team behind drinktec, the World Fair for Beverage and Liquid Food Technology (www.drinktec.com), which takes place the following year, from 14 to 19 September 2009 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. The conceptual sponsor of drink technology India 08 is the food machinery and packaging machinery trade association, confederated in the VDMA, Frankfurt, Germany´s engineering federation (www.vdma.com). Partners are the trade journal PETplanet, Heidelberg (www.petpla.net), and the publishers confructa medien, Strassenhaus (www.fruit-processing.com).
The congress with the subline “International convention for the beverage, liquid food and PET industry” consists of three main components: a conference, exhibitors´ forum and accompanying exhibition. Market data and trends as well as research and development are the focus of the conference. The exhibitors´ forum is a chance for exhibiting suppliers to show the latest technological developments by means of case studies and experience reports. Suppliers also have the opportunity of presenting their company in the exhibition area.
drink technology India 08 addresses the entire beverages industry – bottlers of non-alcoholic drinks, water, fruit juices, beer and milk products as well as the entire spectrum in the supply industry – manufacturers of machinery and plant for the beverages and liquid food industry, of aseptic systems, process technology and process automation, packaging technology and materials, incl. PET, raw materials and restaurant and catering equipment.
At its premiere last year, then under the name of ‘drink technology + PET India’, the event was an immediate success. 525 trade visitors from 15 countries used the opportunity to network, engage in discussions and exchange of experience. The great success of this first event soon prompted the decision to continue the idea, but now under the new name of ‘drink technology India’. “This makes a clear connection to drinktec 2009. The new title emphasises that in India, too, we are addressing the entire beverages and liquid food industry,” explained Petra Westphal, the Exhibition Director of the fair. The organisers at Messe München are expecting 600 participants in the event in India.
