Drinktec 2009: Cooperations signed
Drinktec and CBB
drinktec, the World Fair for Beverage and Liquid Food Technology and China Brew & China Beverage, International Brew & Beverage Processing Technology and Equipment Exhibition for China, have signed a memorandum of understanding on future cooperation. The aim is to strengthen and further expand the market position of both exhibitions. The cooperation was sealed with the signing of a corresponding declaration in Munich at drinktec in September 2009. China Brew & China Beverage (CBB) now has an exclusive partner on the European market, while drinktec can count on the exclusive support of CBB in Asia, in particular in China.
For both sides the cooperation opens up great opportunities, in particular in view of the ongoing growth in the Asian market. CBB wishes to position itself even more strongly there with the help of drinktec and further expand its position in Asia. For drinktec, which is recognised around the world as the no. 1 event for the sector, the main aim is to open up further exhibitor and visitor potential in Asia.
China Brew & China Beverage started out in 1995; it takes place every two years in Beijing. Since its premiere it has grown into the largest industry event in China. At the last event in 2008 491 exhibitors from 21 countries presented their products and services on a total of 45,000 square metres (gross) of exhibition space.

Pooling know-how
Messe München and Messe Düsseldorf are pooling their know-how for the packaging industry in India. drink technology India and International PackTech India are being held together in future. The joint venue from 18 to 20 November 2010 is the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. Messe München GmbH and Messe Düsseldorf GmbH have signed a co-operation agreement about this as the organisers of the two trade fairs.
The two trade fair companies are convinced that the co-operation will create a major joint platform for packaging solutions. All the areas of industry that are looking for suitable packaging for their products will find suitable options at drink technology India and International PackTech India. The overall objective of the co-operation is the successful establishment of an Indian trading platform for customers from the packaging, beverage and liquid food industries. The two events are designed for trade visitors from India and the neighbouring regions.
