Kenya clears Diageo's sale of EABL stake to Asahi

Kenya | The competition regulator has approved Diageo's sale of its 65 percent stake in East African Breweries (EABL) to Japan's Asahi Holdings, the brewer said on 10 September. The London-listed firm announced in December 2025 that it was selling its stake in EABL to Asahi for USD 2.3 billion.
