BestBrewChallenge 2025: Winners announced
Germany | The BestBrewChallenge 2025 organized by Bestmalz has once again demonstrated the diversity and creativity of the international craft beer scene Over 100 people from twelve countries took up the challenge of creating and submitting an oatmeal stout using identical basic ingredients – including this year's mandatory Best Oat Malt.
This year’s beer style, the oatmeal stout with a velvety texture and variety of aromas, challenged the creativity of brewers worldwide. A total of 112 beers were submitted.
The jury of beer sommeliers has made its decision, and the winners of the BestBrewChallenge 2025 were announced during a festive online award ceremony in September 2025: They come from Lithuania, the Czech Republic, and Germany:
- 1st place: Tomas Sirtautas from the Relaxed Man brewery in Lithuania with his beer Out for Delivery;
- 2nd place: Tomáš Kuzník from Domácí pivovárek KUZMA in the Czech Republic with his beer Oatmeal Stout;
- 3rd place: Martynas Mickevičius from Martyno Alus (Lithuania) with the beer of the same name, Martyno Alus.
The winners of the Creative Awards in the respective categories are:
- Best packaging: Jürgen Scherf, Brauwerk Finkenburg, Weiskirchen (Germany), with the beer drunk dock worker;
- best label: Philip Noltemeyer, PhilysLuederserBrew, Langenhagen (Germany), with the beer Breakfast of Champions.
