Meeting of the EBC Analysis Group

EBC Analysis Group | On 25 and 26 November 2019, more than 20 members of the EBC Analysis Group and experts from the different sub-committees met in Brussels.

The group meeting had the objective to take stock of progress, endorse new Analytica EBC Methods and finalise the upcoming collaborative trials which will run in 2020.

A new Method on the determination of bitter compound in dry-hopped beers will be published early 2020, together with a completed version of the International Method “9.8 Bitterness of Beer”. Two collaborative trials will start in January and February, respectively on a new test for the determination of gluten in beer and for the determination of the CIE L*a*b* coordinates of colored final products. Other collaborative trials will also be organized in quarter 2 and quarter 3. More information will follow.
