Discussion on the whole spectrum of alcohol research

From October 13th to 16th, the 30th International Medical Advisory Group (IMAG) conference was held in Brussels. At the event which was attended mainly by medical doctors and nutritionists from 19 countries, new findings about alcohol and health were presented and discussed. Medical advisors to the brewing sector in Australia, Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand and the US exchanged views at this non-public forum.

The British Beer and Pub Association organised the event in Brussels for the first time. Sponsorship came from large European brewing groups such as Heineken, Scottish & Newcastle, and Interbrew. Representatives of some of the brewing majors and brewing associations were in the audience together with researchers and scientists.
