14th VLB Ibero-American Symposium to be held in September

This year, the 14th VLB Ibero-American Symposium on Brewing & Filling Technology will be held from September 2 to 4. After a successful symposium held last year in Bogotá, where 185 people from 21 countries participated, the respected Ibero-American Symposium returns to Mexico for the third time, this time with its capital, Mexico City, as its host city.

With 136,500,000 inhabitants and an average annual population growth of 1 million, Mexico is the second largest Latin American beer market, only surpassed by Brazil. Not in vain, global brewing groups are present in this country. With that number of inhabitants, it is not surprising that this country is home to one of the largest cities in all Latin America. ‘EL Valle de Mexico’, a vibrant and ever-growing city, has approximately 22.5 million inhabitants, thus hosting more than 15% of the total Mexican population.

On this occasion, the 14th Ibero-American Symposium of VLB will specifically address current issues related to the impact of climate change on the development of raw materials, as well as innovation issues in the technological area of brewing and its impact on the reduction of the carbon footprint.

As part of the program, on this occasion participants will have the opportunity to visit the modern Heineken plant located in Toluca. As usual, all the presentations will be shown in Spanish and English in a synchronized manner, and there will also be simultaneous Spanish-English translation, thus facilitating the participation of brewers from the USA and Canada, as well as Brazil.
