Further investments into the future

As part of the continuing strategy to secure growing market presence in Europe, the Simon H. Steiner, Hopfen, GmbH group of companies, based in Mainburg, Germany, has acquired the trading company Inbarco d.o.o., based in Zalec, Slovenia as of 1.10.2018.

The Inbarco trading company, founded in 1989, is a leader in the marketing of Slovenian hops. The new owners will not make any changes in the running of the company, thereby continuing to deal with customers and suppliers much the same as has been the case in the past.

This is a strategically significant acquisition as it not only provides the Hopsteiner group with a direct link to Slovenian growers with whom Inbarco have been dealing for several decades, but also supplies a platform for sales to breweries in the Balkans.

Mr Andreas Waldinger, based at headquarters in Mainburg, has been appointed as Managing Director of the company, whose name will remain unchanged.
