Bio-degradable paper straws

Bioriet V.O.F. | With the vision to free the European market from plastic straws even before 2021, a Dutch Start-up developed a premium paper straw in 2018 and brought it into production. In doing so, the two entrepreneurs behind Bioriet especially focus on resistance and sustainability.

The company’s straws are made of 95% bamboo fiber and just 5% wood fiber which guarantees stability without any quality loss of at least 45 minutes while drinking as well as a high eco friendliness due to the use of bamboo.

The usage of bamboo is currently unique on the market and since it is a grass species it is only cut and therefore more environmental friendly and especially strong due to the specific fiber structure. The paper straws are a pure natural product and 100% bio-degradable.

Since September 2019, the straws are also available in Germany ex-factory, through wholesalers and retail as well as with individual solutions for hospitality. At the same time it is the aim of the company to achieve the change with fair and attractive prices when compared to plastic straws.
