Carlsberg takes over Chongqing Beer Group

After the raise of their Chongqing-share from 27.9 to 60 percent in mid-December, Carlsberg announced at the turn of the year, that the Chongqing Beer Group has accepted their offer to acquire 100 percent of Chinese brewery group.

The company comprises a total of eight breweries with a capacity of approximately 12 mio hl in three Chinese provinces. The total purchase price for the transaction will be about 187 mio EUR. When the parties have executed the required documents to give effect to the accepted offer, the transaction will have to go through the usual regulatory approval process.
