Leadership changes at PureMalt

PureMalt | At the end of January 2024, PureMalt has announced several new appointments within its leadership team.

Ross Turner is appointed Managing Director of PureMalt Products Ltd, succeeding Bruce Turner who has spent over 50 years making PureMalt the great company that it is.

Bruce remains a key contributor in the capacity of non-executive director, so his experience and wisdom will still be there at board level for which I am very grateful.

Bruce Turner commented on Ross’s appointment: “I am confident that Ross, given his experience and enthusiasm, will lead the company with the right strategy which anticipates and responds to changing customer needs and opportunities and which will ensure the continued success of PureMalt.”

To re-prioritise innovation and quality as key to PureMalt’s success, they are also restructuring departments to include dedicated functions for both disciplines.

Gary Shaw is appointed to the new position of Technical Innovation Manager.

Gary joined PureMalt (then Bermaline) in 1984 as a brewing graduate from Heriot-Watt University. Over his forty-year career with PureMalt, Gary has held several different roles in production, quality and new product development. Gary has been instrumental in developing a number of new products and has built an encyclopaedic knowledge of our production processes, customers and final applications.

Ross Turner commented on Gary’s new role: “Gary’s all-round knowledge of PureMalt positions him well to lead our innovation efforts and develop creative solutions for customers in new and existing markets. I am confident in Gary’s skills and abilities to bring to life our next generation of products.”
