Proof of sustainability

Companies increasingly have a responsibility to operate sustainably. They are disclosing their carbon footprint and showing how they intend to specifically reduce their emissions. Ziemann Holvrieka is now using a tool to record environmentally relevant data. Plant operators in breweries can use it to document the carbon footprint of their new tanks.

Determine CO2 emissions along the supply chain precisely and comprehensibly? The carbon footprint is an important indicator for making the environmental impact of a product or process measurable and transparent. Ziemann Holvrieka is now using a new tool to record environmentally relevant key figures for tanks used in breweries - from the CO₂ footprint of the raw material supplied and the emissions generated during production to the transport of the tanks to the end customer. The comprehensive analysis enables consistent calculation, allowing Ziemann Holvrieka to subsequently provide the values in the form of a certificate. Companies can use this proof for sustainability audits, for instance.

“This new tank tool fits in very well with our sustainability strategy, which we’re driving forward with many ideas, technologies and products that deliver measurable benefits,“ adds Klaus Gehrig, CEO at Ziemann Holvrieka. “Our aim is to achieve half of our turnover with CO₂-reducing solutions by 2030 – and we want to reach 100 percent by 2040.”
