President Trump slaps new 50 percent tariff on Canadian whisky, beer, and other goods
USA | In another escalation in the trade war between the US and Canada, President Donald Trump announced a new 50 percent tariff on Canadian exports which includes Canadian whisky, going into effect on 19 August. Any hopes of Canada returning American alcohol that it banned last year to liquor store shelves have been dashed.
