Siebel Institute has found a new home

With the closure of the Goose Island Brewpub in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, the Siebel Institute has had to find a new classroom – which it has: in its office building.

When in early 2003, the Siebel Institute of Technology moved from its location in the northern suburbs of Chicago to its administrative offices located at 1777 North Clybourn Ave near the downtown of Chicago, classroom operations

moved across the street from the new offices to reside in the Goose Island

Clybourn Brewpub.

However, the Goose Island Brewpub, one of the nation’s more successful breweries, earlier this year failed to renegotiate a renewal of their lease, resulting in the closure of this original Goose Island brewpub at the end of the year.

With that in mind, Siebel Institute set out to find a new location to continue.

The Siebel Institute announced that, effective August 1st, its classroom operations and offices will be united into the main floor and lower

level of 1777 North Clybourn location. All under one roof.

This move allows it to stay in the heart of Lincoln Park, Chicago’s premier neighbourhood, and retain this attractive and easy-to-reach location. Students in the upcoming autumn 2008 courses will still be able to enjoy the Goose Island Brewpub location during lunch and after-school hours through the end of the year as well as the many other restaurants and shops in the area.

The Siebel Institute also said that it will have a Bier Stube that welcomes the future Siebel Institute & World Brewing Academy students in an environment of camaraderie and scholarship over a cold beverage at the end of a challenging day of study.
