Molson Coors’ CFO resigns
After only six months on the job, Mauricio Restrepo, Chief Financial Officer of brewer Molson Coors resigned on 17 November 2016 with immediate effect “because of matters regarding personal conduct” not related to its business. The company didn’t offer more details about the issues that led to Mr Restrepo’s departure.
Mr Restrepo, 51, had joined Molson Coors in May after serving as finance honcho of drinks company Beam Suntory. He previously held multiple finance roles at SABMiller, it was reported. US media say that under a separation agreement, Mr Restrepo “will repay the company the amounts, up to USD 1.2 million, paid by the company to [Restrepo] or his former employer as part of his sign-on bonus and relocation benefit expenses, which is currently estimated at USD 776,149.38.”
He is succeeded by Tracey Joubert, 49, previously CFO of MillerCoors.
In October, Molson Coors completed its USD 12 billion acquisition of SABMiller’s 58 percent stake in the joint venture, a deal expected to double its revenue.
