The Beer Monopoly book on Forbes list 2017

We are pleased to report that The Beer Monopoly by Ina Verstl and Ernst Faltermeier and published by Brauwelt International made it on to the Forbes List “Best Booze Books of 2017”.

The list was compiled by Tara Nurin and was released on 22 December 2017.

Best Booze Books of 2017

The list is interesting insofar as it also shows how far beer has come. As remembers Owen Barstow, who used to be the assistant to the beer writer, the late Michael Jackson: “In the early Noughties, publications such as newspapers and magazines like Forbes would have an annual book review. Included in this would be half a dozen wine books and, if lucky, one more title whose subject would rotate annually between cocktails, party drinks, vodka, whisky, cognac and once a blue moon – purely for novelty status – beer. In 2017 Forbes has given beer books several sub-categories with no fewer than 13 beer titles; only five titles are devoted to ‘the rest’.”
