France | Those interested in gaining greater insight into how the brewing and distilling industries use technology to shape a sustainable future, are invited to attend the IBA Masterclass, to be held in Obernai, France, from 11 to 13 September 2019.

The organisers say that we are going through a sustainability revolution that will equal the agricultural and industrial revolutions’ in their impact on society. Innovation and creativity will be needed to develop radical, new products, and technologies that are less damaging to the environment, while generating new businesses and jobs.

The Masterclass’s programme will look at sustainability from various angles, from the point of view of the environment, communities and people.

The Masterclass event will kick off with an informal welcome reception on 11 September 2019. The seminar will feature presentations by international speakers from the brewing and distilling industries, with a keynote delivered by Prof René Schmidpeter from the Cologne Business School in Germany, who is a respected expert in the field of sustainable development.

On the last day of the Masterclass there will be a visit the Kronenbourg brewery and the Carlsberg Global Research Center in Obernai.
