Agents sell specialist equipment worldwide for famous Carlsberg brewery

GoIndustry-DoveBid and Perry Process Equipment have joined forces once again to sell plant and machinery from Carlsberg’s Danish headquarters in Copenhagen. The Carlsberg sale enables small and large breweries to secure high quality equipment, including entire bottling and kegging lines, ‘clean in place’ (CIP) systems, brew house and fermentation equipment and even their dedicated onsite co-generation plant.

Carlsberg’s primary requirement was for a team that could demonstrate extensive knowledge of the equipment being sold. Both GoIndustry-DoveBid and Perry Process Equipment have these skills; together their knowledgeable sales agents advise buyers and keep Carlsberg informed throughout the selling process. Alongside their dedicated industry experience, both companies work internationally and have the strong global reach Carlsberg need for a sale of this scale.

GoIndustry-DoveBid and Perry Process Equipment have worked together on a number of projects before. Perry Process has over 76 years experience in processing equipment across a range of industries; GoIndustry-DoveBid are market leading sales agents and redeployment experts, with an auctioneering heritage spanning over a century. Their combined experience complements the Carlsberg philosophy.

“Carlsberg are one of the world’s largest and most respected brands, and the opportunity for buyers to purchase equipment from their most famous brewery is fantastic. We’ve been approached by small, medium and multi-national contacts across the industry. Interest is growing rapidly”, comments Fraser Robb of GoIndustry-DoveBid.

One of the more unusual sale items is the onsite co-generation plant. The Alstom Aalborg Siemens 13.2MW combined heat and power plant enables the brewery to sell back any excess power to the Grid. The unit also generates useful heat which is efficient and good for the environment too. Large or growing breweries are increasingly seeking co-generation capability to meet ecological responsibilities as well as cost targets.

Although the Carlsberg Copenhagen site is still in production, all sale items will be available from the beginning of January 2009; others can be acquired earlier. Since Carlsberg struck the deal with partners GoIndustry-DoveBid and Perry Process Equipment, interest has grown and sales have already been made across Europe.

For Carlsberg, the brewery move to their upgraded site at Fredericia will enable production to almost double. The world famous Copenhagen brewery site will remain Carlsberg’s headquarters and the museum and historical buildings preserved due to their cultural importance. The existing Fredericia brewery has been modernised and expanded considerably.
