Schörghuber Group to sell aircraft leasing division
In May 2010, Mrs Schörghuber in a rare public statement countered all allegations and announced that she has no plans to take Schörghuber Group public or sell it piecemeal. Instead she announced plans to grow it.
This could be good news to Heineken, which has owned a stake in BHI for the better part of the past decade and has only exercised financial control to date. Despite a quick succession of top brass and a few contentious acquisitions in Germany, BHI has held up fairly well and managed to double beer exports to 800,000 hl over the past eight years.
Still, industry gossip has it that Heineken would like to have more of a say in BHI and even take full control of BHI’s Kulmbacher brewery, which is located to the north of Bavaria and close to the Czech Republic. Thanks to its strategic location, it would allow Heineken to further rationalize its cross-border brewing operations in central Europe.
