Krones honoured for showing corporate social responsibility
On 22 November 2013, Krones and Volkswagen were awarded the German Investors’ Prize for corporate social responsibility. “With Krones and Volkswagen, we have singled out two deserving companies as prize-winners. For both these corporations, responsible action is a vital element of their business operations”, Michael Schneider, head of Environmental, Social & Governance at DeAWM said at the award ceremony in Frankfurt.
This year, 175 German companies were subject to quantitative analyses for the award.
Introduced in 2011, the prize is given to companies that demonstrate a sense of corporate responsibility towards the natural environment, their staff and society as a whole.
It was founded by DuMont, one of Germany’s biggest newspaper publishers, and Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (DeAWM), part of Deutsche Bank Group and one of the country’s leading asset managers.
