Japan raids Asahi, Kirin, Sapporo and Suntory in beer price-fixing probe
Japan | Four of Japan’s biggest brewers have been raided by the country’s competition watchdog in a major price-fixing investigation. The watchdog suspects they have violated the Antimonopoly Act. The investigation reaches into a market worth more than JPY 1.1 trillion (USD 6.9 billion) a year. Reportedly, some officials admitted to collusion during the raids, media said on 7 October.
