Proudly not European…

Foster’s latest print ad for Crown Lager plays the national card.

The Crown Lager ad features a map of Australia, cleverly crafted from bubbles in a glass, and stresses that the beer’s “unique Australian brewing style has remained unchanged for 80 years and, unlike the fashionable European beers of the moment, Crown boasts a creamy fruitiness, rich malty undertones and a crisp hops finish.” That may be the case. But isn’t Foster’s forgetting to mention one itsy bitsy teenie weenie detail, like that Australia’s largest brewer also happens to brew or import such classic European brands like Carlsberg, Hoegaarden, Kronenbourg, Leffe, Newcastle Brown Ale, Staropramen, Stella Artois … Did we leave one out?
