Coopers loses rights for Budweiser

Lion Nathan already brew Beck’s under licence from InBev and have enjoyed a 20-year association with the world’s major brewer, originally through the German-owned Beck’s.

However, the new deal will not make AB-InBev give up their promiscuous philandering in Australia. Their brands Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, Leffe and Staropramen continue to be licensed to/or distributed by Lion Nathan’s arch-rival Foster’s.

Some things never change – like AB-InBev wanting to have their fingers in every pie.
