7th edition of Copa Cervezas de América coming up

From October 8th to 13th, Santiago will be all set to host Santiago Beer Week, welcoming beers and participants from all Latin America.

Establishing itself as one of the most important beer events in Latin America on its 7th edition, Copa Cervezas de América (CCA) continues to grow. This year 684 beer samples from 393 breweries have been sent in from 18 different countries .

In 2017, 1356 beers participated in the competition, which means a 23 per cent increase, with Brazil as the main participant with 626 labels; Argentina second with 426; and Chile third with 194 beers.

Premiering this year is Santiago Beer Week, which will link the competition, the conference, and the supplier’s exhibition with a broad schedule of activities such as tours, workshops, tastings, visits to breweries, flagship wineries, and specialized bars to enjoy the local beer scene.

The Brewer’s Conference will once again present renowned lecturers such as Lorenzo Davobe “Kuaska”, Italian expert in Lambic beers; Luc de Raedemaeker, Director of the Brussels Beer Challenge; Gary Glass, Director of the American Homebrewers Association; Todd Haug, Master Brewer at Three Floyds; and Steven Beaumont, world-famous beer writer, among many other important beer experts visiting Copa Cervezas de América.
