Renewable electricity | AB InBev beers, including Budweiser, will soon be brewed with renewable electricity throughout Europe as AB InBev inks a deal with global renewable energy developer, BayWa r.e., to purchase 100% renewable electricity for its European brewing operations.

Quaterly statement | From July to September, revenue was up 10.9% year-on-year to EUR 1,000.4 million, mainly related to the new and bought-in machinery business. In the first three quarters of 2019, revenue rose by 7.3% year-on-year, from EUR 2,692.8 million to EUR 2,889.7 million.

Difficult economic conditions and uncertainties increasingly affected Krones’ business in the first half of 2019. After strong growth in the first quarter (by 10.3%), revenue from April to June increased by 0.7% year-on-year. In total, the company’s revenue from January to June 2019 improved by 5.5. Adjusted for acquisitions and currency effects, growth was 1.8%.

Since January 2019, Sidel and Gebo Cermex former business units form now as a single team called Sidel. Related to this, some of their entities are changing their name.

A brewing Modern Apprenticeship, offering training in the art of beer production, has been announced, with backing from industry leadership and employers.

The Brewers Association (BA) Board of Directors recently approved the formation of the Brewers Association Political Action Committee.

Since 1st March 2019 SACMI has been a member of the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) Industrial Liaison Program. Signed by Paolo Mongardi, President of SACMI Imola, and Karl F. Koster, executive director of MIT corporate relations, this agreement reinforces SACMI's research role even further.
