Dates announced for IBD Conference 2011

It is apparent that Africa has “Endless Possibilities” and the thirst is not just for the product but also knowledge, skills and expertise. Therefore opportunities are available not only for the brewers and distillers but also suppliers and academia.

This convention will apprise Africa’s brewing and distilling community of the possibilities available in this amazing continent and discuss ways in which they could be made happen.

It will also review some of the challenges facing this realisation.

Therefore, the organisers envisage papers and lively debate on such topics as health, learning and development, raw materials, logistics, politics and a revisit of the main theme of our last successful convention in 2009, Sustainable Development.

A large number of presentations will be given by invited speakers, knowledgeable in their specific field, thereby including subject matter beyond the brewing and distilling industries.

The convention committee has chosen a beautiful and very African location with much to keep delegates and partners active – papers, discussions, exhibition and numerous leisure activities.

Registration is open now for exhibitors and visitors. Please go to www.ibdafrica.co.za/ and click on the ‘Convention’ tab then follow the links.
