EBC Hop Symposium in Wolnzach (Bavaria), 12 – 14 September 2010
The European Brewery Convention, as the scientific and technical arm of The Brewers of Europe, is pleased to announce the next EBC symposium. The symposium will be held at the Deutsches Hopfenmuseum in Wolnzach which is at the epicentre of the largest German hop growing region, the Hallertau in Bavaria. Wolnzach is approximately 50 km from Munich’s international airport. A shuttle service will be provided and a great accompanying programme, including a visit to a hop picking shed, will be in store for delegates.
Registration and abstract submission
The scientific committee is inviting interested persons to submit their abstract for selection and inclusion to the technical programme. Abstracts are welcome and should cover the following functional areas:
a) Recent developments in hop breeding, including hop genetics, and hop growing, including agronomical aspects;
b) Recent developments in hop products for the brewing industry;
c) Aspect of hopping, hop utilisation and hop flavour during the brewing process (including new insights into hop chemistry);
d) Beer, hops and health;
e) New data related to global and local hop markets, including novel trends in the marketing of hops.
Please note that abstracts may only be submitted via the registration and abstract submission system on the symposium web-site: visit www.ebc-hop-symposium.org. The symposium language is English. Abstract submission deadline is 15th of June 2010.
