Successful exhibition in Peking
The largest and most important Asian trade fair for the brewing and beverage industry, China Brew and Beverage (CBB) 2010, took place from 7 to 10 September 2010 in Beijing. About 600 exhibitors from over 20 countries presented the newest developments and innovations from the beverage and liquid food sector to the trade visitors over an exhibition area of 50,000 m2. In terms of exhibition area as well as number of exhibitors, this represents a growth of 20 percent compared to the last CBB.
The exhibition was accompanied by 30 lectures held over the course of the whole four days, covering all different issues important for this sector, like for example raw materials, process technology, packaging or quality management. This year’s focus was on low carbon economics, efficiency increase, environmental issues, recycling management and food safety – topics which were received with great interest by visitors and exhibitors alike.
Since its premiere in 1995 the CBB has been constantly growing. For the first time, it was supported in its marketing activities by drinktec, the world´s leading trade fair for beverage and liquid food technology. Also for the first time, this year’s CBB was organized together with “China Dairy Industry Association” and “China Light Industry Machinery Association”.
This cooperation matches the CBB’s portfolio which had been extended by the liquid food topic in 2010. Now the complete process chain could be represented.
The pleasant atmosphere at China Brew and Beverage encouraged the exchange of ideas and in-depth discussions. The trade fair set a positive example for the future of the whole beverage and liquid food sector after the economic crisis.
