BestBrewChallenge 2026 now open for registration
Heidelberg | The international brewing community is invited to register now for the BestBrewChallenge 2026. Organized by Palatia Malz GmbH, this annual event is considered one of the world’s largest simultaneous community brewing events and is aimed at hobby brewers and breweries of all sizes around the globe. From 20–26 April, a beer of a specified style will be brewed simultaneously worldwide – this year, it will be dark wheat beer brewed exclusively with “Best Wheat Malts“ and “Best Roasted Malts”.
The BestBrewChallenge offers brewers the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity under uniform conditions – from recipe development to the joint publication of brewing moments under the hashtag #bestbrewchallenge.
Everyone interested in participating can register by 19 April 2026, via the official website www.bestbrewchallenge.com. The dark wheat beer will be brewed between 20 and 26 April.
The beers will be evaluated in a blind tasting by a jury of professional sommeliers. Each beer submitted will receive an individual sensory evaluation. To this end, three liters of the competition beer must be submitted by 15 June at the latest. The winning beer will be brewed on a larger scale and served at the Bestmalz booth at BrauBeviale in Nuremberg from 10–12 November 2026.
