Brew Asia set to “Deliver the Future”

Vietnam | This year’s Brew Asia conference and trade fair, to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on October 19th-20th, will see more than 900 brewery owners, brewers, sales & marketing teams, distributors and industry suppliers from across Asia once again join for the latest innovations in ingredients, operations and equipment.

“Brew Asia is a great opportunity for the entire industry to catch up after a tough year, share their experiences and learn from each other” said conference Director Charles Guerrier “We’re looking forward to welcoming not only the regions but the global brewing community to Ho Chi Minh City, and have curated a conference programme that appeals to all, covering production as well as sales and marketing.”

Brewing headwinds

With the pandemic now well and truly over, economies are clearly seeing some challenges, leading to shifts in consumer spending. Conference organizers see October’s show as an opportunity to help brewers and marketing teams, with winning strategies and practical solutions to remain strong against a tougher than expected trading environment.

Over the coming year brewery managers will need to look at upgrading equipment and brewery processes, new technology and products will have to be introduced and sales & marketing skills need to be refined. All this will be catered for with a comprehensive conference programme and expanded trade fair based around the theme of “Delivering the Future”.

Keynote addresses

The two-day conference will be opened on 19th October by Garrett Marrero the Co-founder/CEO of Maui Brewing Company (USA), recognised as Hawaii's largest independent craft brewer. In his keynote address, Garret will be sharing insights on business growth strategies from his 18 years of experience in the industry.

Day two of the conference will see Scott Janish, Co-Founder, Sapwood Cellars (USA) and author of "The New IPA" kick off the day, unpacking the value of collaboration within the industry, as well as taking a deep dive into the science behind hop usage in today's IPA's.

Planning ahead the key to success

The theme of delivering for the future continues throughout all 25 sessions over the two days, with workshops and technical sessions covering everything from Yeast Counting, Judge like a Judge (a Beer Evaluation Workshop) and Whisky Distilling for Brewers to expert discussion panels on Business Financing, Maintaining Uniqueness in an Increasingly Busying Marketplace, amongst others.

Running concurrently to the conference will be the Brew Asia Trade Fair. Across a 1300sqm hall, over 60 world-leading exhibitors will showcase the latest advances in ingredients and brewing equipment. With companies from the entire value chain, expect to see hop and malt innovations on show from the likes of Barth Haas and Boortmalt, a global new product launch from yeast supplier Fermentis as well as the latest brewhouse technology on show from Krones, DME and Kaspar Schulz.

Continues Charles “we’re excited by the ever higher-quality programming, designed to inspire as well as engage, with something for ever member of the team. The dynamic city of Ho Chi Minh City, with its burgeoning craft beer scene, will only add to the overall experience, and ensure that the networking opportunities deliver as much as the conference content”
