IBD Asia Pacific Convention 2020: It’s all about connectivity
“Connectivity” is the theme for the 36th Biennial Convention of the Institute of Brewing & Distilling, Asia Pacific section, which takes place from 16th to 20th March 2020 in Perth, Western Australia.
In the increasingly digital and interconnected world within which our industry now exists, it is relationships and connections that differentiate products and services, build loyalty and set “connected” entities – those that actively engage with the world around them – apart from their competitors in the market.
Delving into how to best harness the “Power of Connectivity”, the 2020 program will ensure participants get the latest perspectives on the impact of climate change, supply chain innovations, advances in production efficiencies and the symbiosis of brewing and distilling. Headlining the program is Rebecca Newman, Director of Quality at Lagunitas Brewing Company. A quality assurance veteran with multi-brewery experience, Rebecca will explore the value of connectivity, alongside University of California legends Charlie Bamforth and Glen Fox – emeritus and current professors of malting and brewing science.
As always, IBD Convention 2020, which centres around the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, will bring the latest critical thinking in sustainability, quality, malt, hops, energy, packaging and distilling in dedicated sessions over four action packed days. Attendees can also visit some of the most renowned beachside and urban settings around Perth, including beautiful Cottisloe Beach, a host of the hippest drinking venues and eateries around the city, and the remarkable landmark Optus Stadium.
