New plants in focus: Royal Grolsch, Enschede/NL Scandinavian flair and Grolsch quality
The new Grolsch brewery plant in Enschede/Netherlands marks a milestone in the 400-year history of the Group. Designed for growth, the modern complex represents a thoroughly planned concept in terms of equipment, technology and architecture. Product quality and flexibility integrate with the environmental requirements and corporate philosophy.
On 7 April 2004 the new brewing facility of Royal Grolsch N.V. was put into operation in a ceremony in front of 1600 guests from the Netherlands and abroad, indeed an outstanding event in the 400 years history of the brewery. The new brewery replaces the plants in Groenlo and Enschede-North, which had been producing Grolsch from 1615 and 1895 respectively. The total investment was 277 million EUR. The area is 25 ha.2 million hl. Leo A.V..
